Manager change could lead to Tammy’s Chelsea return – if form improves

With Chelsea’s need for a striker only getting worse, it’s inevitable that our thoughts end up turning to Tammy Abraham.

The forward is on loan at Aston Villa this season after appearing to decide at the last minute that he wasn’t going to play enough for Maurizio Sarri.

That was probably a wise decision, as the other youngsters have barely featured, but Villa wasn’t the best destination

The fact that they waited until the close of the window to find him a destination meant he ended up dropping down a division, and is at a club that’s just sacked its manager.

Tammy was not happy that Steve Bruce was got rid of if you go by his Tweet, so it’s not certain how things will go with Dean Smith. Hopefully he gets them playing well so we can see Tammy shame.

A few solid months at Villa Park would put him back in the frame at Chelsea, unless things improve up front for us.
