After losing position to Victor Moses, Callum Hudson-Odoi could end up at Aston Villa in January

Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi could be an Aston Villa player by the end of the January transfer window according to the Sun.

The Blues starlet was prevented from going out on loan last summer with Maurizio Sarri stepping in to prevent one of his brightest prospects from leaving the club. After a stellar pre-season to suggest Hudson-Odoi could have a breakthrough season, it is only in the Community Shield that we have seen the 17-year old play in.

Since then, his best has been a bench role and has at times been neglected in 18-man squads for fringe games in the Europa League and Carabao Cup games.

With Hudson-Odoi falling behind in the pecking order below Willian, Pedro, and Moses, Villa wants to give a way out of his misery in this developmental stage of his promising career. He is highly rated by Chelsea and consider him a first team material in future but the choices of Sarri have been questionable.

The West Midlands club already have in their possession a Chelsea loanee, Tammy Abraham and want to reunite him with Hudson-Odoi for the last six months of the season.
