Kepa Arrizabalaga reveals how long he intends to stay at Chelsea after his record breaking move last summer

Chelsea have a knack of keeping their top stars for a long while until the club gets tired of them around or the players force their way out. In recent history, a couple of players have activated the latter option and returned to Spain where they feel the love most, in their opinion.

But that may not be the case for new goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. The shot-stopper signed from Athletic Bilbao for a world record shattering fee reveals his new love for England and the Premier League and admits he wants to stay here for a long time to come.

The 24-year old goalkeeper signed for Chelsea for £71.6 million, dwarfing the £60 million Liverpool paid for Allison Becker in the same transfer window. The pressure was on the young stopper but he has helped calmed the tension around him with great displays in his new team.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official website, Kepa says he is still adapting to life in London, but so far has enjoyed his stay in the Premier League.

“The Premier League and La Liga are very different. The style of play is different, the person training me is different, everything is different and new.

But all in all, so far I feel very happy. I think I’m adapting very well to being in the team, which is the most important thing, and I’m really looking forward to spending a long time in the Premier League with Chelsea.”
