Eden Hazard has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for September, after a run of games which saw him score 5 in 4 games.
Amazingly, it’s only the second time that the Belgian has won the gong, having previous been awarded it in October 2016.

It’s been a red hot start to the season for Hazard – the only reason he didn’t win the August award was that he didn’t start the first two games of the season – and even then he was deadly off the bench.
If he keeps up this form Chelsea are really on course to be title contenders, even without any capable strikers.
On the other hand there is the inevitable feeling that if he slows down, as he almost certainly will, that the team won’t be able to sustain this kind of form without him carrying them with his goals and assists.
For now, let’s just say well done Eden – and keep it up.
