Chelsea’s young prodigy Ethan Ampadu had an unfortunate night last night.
Having barely featured this season for the Blues, the youngster has been relying on his new career as a Wales starter for minutes.
He got that start against Spain, but not only were his team soundly beaten, Ampadu also found himself subbed off after 50 minutes with what looked like an injury picked up in a tackle.

The good news is that those kind of impact injuries are usually pretty short term, and as Ben Dinnery notes above, the midfielder was back on the pitch after the game.
Plus, it’s not like he’s playing too many first team minutes at the moment. All he can hope for is maybe a Carabao Cup appearance in two weeks against Derby County, and maybe one of the latter Europa League group games.
Either way, we wish him a speedy recovery and hope it’s nothing serious.
