Chelsea have been linked with a strong interest in Sandro Tonali, an 18 prospect from Italy.
The rumours cited in this Sky Sports report on the youngster claim that Maurizio Sarri is very interested in the young passing midfielder.
That would make perfect sense from a stylistic point of view, but it’s hard to imagine Sarri pressing too hard for targets. His suggestions are doubtless welcomed by… whoever it is who makes signings for us now… but Sarri has said himself that he doesn’t get too bothered with specific targets.
Still, the fact that Tonali sounds like the perfect deep-lying “regista” for a Sarri team must surely add a little weight to these rumours.
According to the whispers going around at the moment, Chelsea join Juventus and Roma among the teams who want to sign the Brescia playmaker, and it could be a tough battle for a youngster who has already emerged as a star for Italy at youth level.
