We’ve reached the second international break, and we’re almost a quarter of the way through the season. It’s gone so quickly, but this is the perfect time to take stock of how things are going.
If we look across Europe, there really aren’t many teams playing better than us. Just imagine how excited you would have been to say that a couple of months ago when we didn’t even know who our manager would be.
According to WhoScored‘s statistics we are the 5th best team in Europe by average player ratings. Only Man City, PSG, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are ranking higher than us.
Interestingly we aren’t in the top 5 for shots per game, possession or dribbles per game. It’s just our all round game that’s helping us pick up good numbers.
If the spell between now and Christmas is as good as the one we’ve just had, we might just be top of the table by then.
