You can not be too sure of his true opinion or his real feelings when Toby Alderweireld admits that Eden Hazard is playing at a level never before seen of him. He may be showing concern that his direct opponent in the Premier League is reaching those heights; or he may just be revelling in authentic joy at seeing his international teammate excel.
Alderweireld believes Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has never played football this well in his career and says we are witnessing the form of the Belgium international’s life:
“He is doing very well. In my view, this is the best Hazard we have ever seen.”

Hazard has produced some magic for Chelsea this season, helping them negotiate wins in tough games and smoothing tricky situations for Maurizio Sarri and his technical team.
Should he continue on this hot streak, the Belgium captain will set new personal records for goals this season. Playing on the left side of Chelsea’s front three with the license to roam, Hazard has scored seven goals in eight appearances already, making it even more noteworthy that he falls in the bracket of the top players in world football.
Hazard and Alderweireld will be part of Belgium’s team to face Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday.
