Ace Argentina striker explains why he snubbed Chelsea last summer

It is no secret that Chelsea wanted to sign a forward last summer and from all indications, the request can from the new manager who was not too convinced with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud.

The pair struggled last season to make an impression and despite the slight indications by Giroud, who arrived only in January, that he might be a restored man in this campaign, the failure to grab goals continues with. Chelsea’s main goal-getters.

Among Maurizio Sarri’s targets, last summer was Gonzalo Higuain but the Juventus striker opted for a local move to AC Milan and was added to a swap deal that involved Leonardo Bonucci.

Higuain reveals his move to Milan and not the Blues was because only the manager at Stamford Bridge wanted him, while at Milan, all stakeholders seemed interested in his move to the club.

“There was a fundamental difference: everyone here (AC Milan) wanted me, from the club to the coach. Only the coach wanted me at Chelsea.”

Higuain has scored four goals in five games this season for Milan.
