“We will see” – Eden Hazard isn’t sure if Maurizio Sarri is a great coach just yet

Things have started very well for Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea.

The Italian coach has five wins and a draw under his belt, and he has Eden Hazard playing some of the best football of his career.

But the Belgian isn’t totally sold on his new coach yet. As he very fairly points out on Sky Sports, you can’t just judge a manager when things are all going well – although that in itself is a good sign.

Hazard wants to see Sarri coping with some tougher periods before he casts any judgment on just how he stacks up with his former bosses:

“He is a great manager, but it’s easy to say when you are winning games. We will see in a bad moment. For sure he is a great manager, and he showed that to the world.

Those seems like reasonable terms. Everything was going swimmingly under Antonio Conte – until they weren’t. Sarri’s system is much more extreme and it feels likely that we’re due at least one bad patch this season.

Whatever happens, as long as Eden keeps scoring at this rate, we don’t think he’ll have any complaints.
