“Sometimes before a game [Hazard] told me what he had planned” – On-loan Chelsea star reveals Hazard predicts his own performances

To think that Eden Hazard actually predicts his own performances before games and executes them to great effect is ridiculous but in fact, he does.

According to Baba Rahman, a former teammate at Chelsea now left fullback at Schalke 04 in the German Bundesliga, Hazard usually told him what he was going to do in games before he did it. If that is the case, the Belgium international will have a good career as a prophet in religious circles.

The 27-year old has had a blistering start to the Premier League this season and has removed almost every iota of doubt that he can never become a prolific goalscorer. He has scored five times for Chelsea in the first fives games, although he has started only three of them while scoring a further two for Belgium during the last international break.

That has made him a strong candidate for the top Premier League player award if he manages to continue this hot streak in front of goal and Baba says, it’s not surprising to see the Belgian star shine.

“Sometimes before a game [Hazard] told me what he had planned for that game and he always made it later.

He is really a clown. He always makes fun when we are in the dressing room or at dinner. He’s a funny guy who always makes people laugh around him. We don’t have to talk much about Eden’s qualities, he shows in every game that he is an amazing player.”
