Player Ratings: Poor Chelsea held by stubborn West Ham

The defence didn’t have a huge amount to do but weren’t that convincing in shutting the game down. Kepa made one superb stop to rescue them.

The midfield just didn’t function that well, and Kante kept finding himself in attacking positions that he’s just not cut out for.

Up front after a bright start Olivier Giroud was kept quiet and Eden Hazard and Willian both couldn’t pull off their usual flicks and tricks.

Ross Barkley was a bright spark off the bench however, and Jorginho did his best to create chances with some lofted through balls.

There were long periods when Chelsea were dominant, and we created some decent chances, but a draw with this West Ham team just isn’t good enough, and the marks reflect that.

The marks are given out on the basis that a 6 is a solid, average performance.

Kepa: 6

Azpilicueta: 5

Antonio Rudiger: 7

David Luiz: 5

Marcos Alonso: 5

Jorginho: 6

Mateo Kovacic: 5

N’Golo Kante: 5

Willian: 4

Eden Hazard: 5

Olivier Giroud: 5
