Jorginho has been listen among the 4 best players in the Premier League this season by the Daily Mail.
They say that his stats make him one of the four best players in the division across the first four games, along with Liverpool’s summer signing in goal Alisson, Burnley’s James Tarkovski and Richarlison of Everton.
The statistics they cite include his total passes this season – 417. The most in the division. That includes 247 successful ones in the opposition half, and 110 successful passes that ended in the final third.
The dominance that Chelsea have had has really helped him rack up those numbers, and he will likely revert to the mean a little when we play some better sides, but for now there’s no question he’s bossing things in the middle.
Eden Hazard can feel hard to done by to have missed out, but Richarlison has been exceptional and has three goals. We’re sure in another week or two it will be hard to deny the Belgian a start.
