“I have a dream to return” – Kenedy wants triumphant return to Chelsea after Newcastle loan stint

Chelsea’s Kenedy is on loan at Newcastle United this season has hinted he wishes to return to Chelsea and be a champion for the club afterwards.

The Brazil youngster is one of 40 players currently shipped out on loan according to the club this summer but he is aiming to make a mark at St. James’ Park and return to the Blues setup next season.

That will be a difficult prospect, judging by how much time he has had to convince the top officials at the club that he a material they can rely on in tough games. The winger failed to fully convince in his time under Rafa Benitez last season last season and is by far behind the first choice options in his position at Chelsea now.

This season, Kenedy began well in his first game against Tottenham Hotspur before failing to impress in Newcastle’s game against Cardiff where he missed a penalty late in the game to steal all three points for his side.

But nothing is holding him back in his dreams and reveals he wants to return to Chelsea’s first team.

“It is not that I didn’t succeed at Chelsea. I arrived at 19, very young. It was good to be loaned to get more playing time; better than staying at Chelsea and not playing.

I hope this year I can make a good season for Newcastle and go back to Chelsea to continue. I have a dream to return and to be a champion for the club.”
