With Maurizio Sarri in charge, Chelsea have won against Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle and Huddersfield. That leaves them at the top of the Premier League with Liverpool and Watford.
The Daily Star has quotes from the Frenchman saying that Chelsea can really do something special under their manager:
“I think Chelsea changed a lot,” Makelele said. “Before now you have a lot of teams in the Premier League, it’s competitive. Manchester City, Manchester United, and also the smaller teams have good players. So it’s going to be difficult for them to win the Premier League. I’m confident.”
He’s confident, but aware of the strength of the other teams? That sums up most Chelsea fans’ feelings about the matter too. We’ve seen great progress already with this team, and if we keep that up, old Claude might no be so far fetched with his predictions after all.
