BREAKING: Chelsea’s West Ham planning thrown into disarray after flight cancellation

Chelsea already had a quick turnover between last night’s game in Greece and Sunday’s clash with West Ham at the Olympic Stadium, and that turnover just got a little shorter.

Official word is coming out of in the know journalists like Liam Twomey of ESPN that the Blues flight back to England was cancelled last night, meaning they likely won’t be back home until later today.

That effectively shaves a whole day of preparation off our schedule. We were already going to struggle, especially given how many first team players were played last night, and now things look critical.

It’s just one of those things however, and we will have to get used to these hectic periods between two games as the season goes on.

It might mean changes to the team on Sunday too, with more rotation than previously expected likely to take place if some of the travelling players are more tired than expected.

Thank god we left Eden at home eh?
