Pedro today signed a one year contract extension with Chelsea, that means he is tied down at the club till 2020.
The fact that it’s happening now, rather than at the end of last season, clearly indicates that the new coach Maurizio Sarri has had an impact on this move.
The club appear to have given him the call on whether to extend this deal, and the green light has arrived from our new coach.

It’s no surprise really – he already looks a great fit for the Italian’s system, and has got a great preseason under his belt.
With Willian and Eden Hazard’s futures uncertain, securing our other senior attacker’s future was vital. There will be a lot of games to play this season, and it Pedro will hopefully shine in Sarri’s system.
What we do know is that he has a fight on his hands against the astonishing form of Callum Hudson-Odoi.
