“That club is Manchester City” – Maurizio Sarri points to Pep Guardiola’s side as the team to beat if Chelsea want to win the title

Chelsea are a side raring to go and try to reach the levels set in their previous title winning seasons, or possibly even bettering the records set by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City last season. But their manager has confirmed that they will have to outdo their Manchester rivals if they want to emerge champions this season.

The Blues are capable of making other clubs suffer on the pitch, but their stock may have fallen in the last season under Antonio Conte after they finished fifth in the Premier League standings and failing to beat some lesser teams along the way.

With Sarri in charge, many Chelsea fans expect the football at Stamford Bridge to improve, and in turn improve performances and results.

The first step this season was against Huddersfield in the Premier League opener and the Blues came up trumps with with a 3-0 win. But Maurizio Sarri sees a tough season coming up and says Man City will remain the side to beat:
