Chelsea set to award superstar forward new deal for showing loyalty this summer

Chelsea are reportedly set to award Willian a new deal for his loyalty this summer, when top clubs around Europe turned to him for answers to their attacking problems.

Manchester United and Barcelona were rumored to be interested in signing the Brazil winger, and with Sky Sports reporting that the Blues rejected all three bids from the La Liga giants, it’s perhaps the efforts of Willian that made this stance from Chelsea easy to implement.

The move by the club to avoid all bids for their superstar players failed miserably when Thibaut Courtois blatantly told the club he preferred wearing Real Madrid’s jersey this season and beyond, but Willian, on the other hand, showed the kind of commitment Chelsea are looking for in their players.

The Blues are currently looking to award Willian a new deal that will keep at the club beyond the two years remaining on his current deal worth 120,000 per week according to the Sun.

Matt Law of the Telegraph does not think so highly of the Brazil international though, citing examples of his rude attitude towards former manager Antonio Conte and his ultimatum to the club to change their manager of he moves.
