Chelsea linked with late move for Portuguese talent as European window closes

The transfer window may be closed now, but the rumours just keep going.

European windows are open for a day or two yet across the continent, and in theory there’s still time for the Blues to buy someone and loan them out.

That’s what might happen with our latest rumoured target, Trincão of Braga.

SportWitness have claims from A Bola in Portugal that say that the Blues are in interested in the youngster, who has a €15m release clause in his contract that will increase to €30m at the end of the August.

So if you’re looking to speculate on him improving his value, you’d better get moving. Turning a profit off a €15m player isn’t too hard these days, they just need one good season on loan in a top division. Making a profit from a €30m player is a lot more difficult.

This one doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere, but if you think Chelsea aren’t greedily eyeing every young players across Europe at some stage in their development, you clearly haven’t been paying attention to our recent transfer policy.
