“Yes, now there are talks between the clubs” – Mother of 2018 World Cup star confirms Chelsea in talks with son’s club

Chelsea are actively interested in signing top players to beef up their squads this summer and with a new manager expected to arrive at the club before the start of next season, his transfer wishes will linger in the media until the end of window in early August.

According to the Metro, Chelsea target Aleksandr Golovin’s mother, Svetlana Golovin has confirmed there have been talks between the Blues chiefs and CSKA Moscow.

“Yes, now there are talks between the clubs, but we still do not know the details. Sacha right now stands only for the Russian team, fully focused on the World Cup. The transition from one club to another will only be discussed after it is completed here.

For now, everyone loves my Sacha, even those who before didn’t care about football. His biggest fan is his 83-year-old grandmother – she does not miss a single match.”

The attacking midfielder has been the main star for Russia at this World Cup after he scored one and assisted twice in the host nation’s opening game against Saudi Arabia.

The 22-year-old’s displays in the competition has attracted top clubs to him with Juventus said to be in the queue for his signature this summer. But the asking price of £27 million by CSKA Moscow has put Chelsea in the lead for his services in this transfer window.
