“I will see what they want and how they say it” – Belgium World Cup star counting on Chelsea’s renewed offer and hopes it keeps him at the club

Chelsea are looking to keep their best stars at the club this summer, following the comical uncertainty that surrounded the Blues throughout this summer, with Antonio Conte only asked to leave just under a week ago, Maurizio Sarri coming in from Napoli.

The uncertainty at the club led to the multiple reports that emanated that the Blues will lose several of teir top players this summer including Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgium international starred for his country at the 2018 World Cup and left Russia with the Golden Glove, previously won by legends such as Gianluigi Buffon, Oliver Kahn and Iker Casillas.

These feats has pushed Courtois to reassess his value and hope Chelsea are thinking same. The former Genk goalkeeper says he is preparing to return to Chelsea, only to listen to what the club has to tell him and then make a decision on his future with Real Madrid lurking.

“I will be coming back, for sure, and I will see what they want and how they say it. Obviously with this World Cup, I think what was on the table obviously is different than what I can have, maybe.

In this World Cup, I have ignored all the speculation, all the rumours. But now in the next few days I will have a chat with my agent and see what Chelsea told him, and then we will talk. But I feel happy at Chelsea, it’s not that I necessarily want to leave.”
