When it comes to Belgium transfer news or moves involving Belgian players, one of the most trusted journalists on the front is Kristof Terreur.
The journalist has made a good name for himself, making good calls on players transfers and decisions in recent years and now he reports that Chelsea forward Eden Hazard may not move away from Stamford Bridge this summer because of three reasons he outlined in his tweet on Friday.
According to Terreur, the Blues are unwilling to sell their superstar forward but even if their minds are changed at the top echelons of Chelsea, one of the biggest suitors for Hazard, Barcelona, are unwilling to spend as much on the Belgium captain.
Real Madrid have been the closest to Hazard when it comes to transfers though and after Cristiano Ronaldo left the Los Blancos this summer to Juventus, the Metro say Hazard is on the shortlist of replacement options. Even that Terreur says the La Liga giants are yet to make any offer and at this time of the transfer window, it is unlikely they will.
There have been contacts between Barcelona and Eden Hazard, but no negotiations – a very expensive operation that they can’t afford at the moment. Real Madrid haven’t made an offer either. Chelsea not willing to sell him. #cfc #worldcup #bel pic.twitter.com/1Mpccg0IrM
