Chelsea could lose their star goalkeeper this week if reports from Spain are to be believed, with Marca insisting Real Madrid are getting close to signing Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgium international has been a stand out star at Chelsea along with the likes of Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante but unfortunately for the Blues, all three players are said to be on the move to new clubs this summer.
Courtois’ might be the first to happen if Marca are right. They claim the goalkeeper has been identified by the Los Blancos as the ideal replacement for Keylor Navas and want him to switch clubs as soon as possible.
That will keep Navas out of the first eleven despite being a fundamental part of the side that won three Champions League titles in the last four years.
Courtois has shown a deep interest in a move out of Stamford Bridge recently, but Chelsea could play hard ball as summer replacements may be hard to come by.
