What would Sarri’s current Chelsea XI be?

The World Cup is over, and all we have left is fantasising about the new season now. Maurizio Sarri has been appointed, and Jorginho has arrived with him. That gives Chelsea fans plenty of room for fantasy when they consider their lineup for next season.

Who would be in Sarri’s lineup right now? Of course there will be transfers in and out, and we don’t know who the Italian will prefer at Chelsea, but this is how we figure he’d do it if he had all his players fit tomorrow.

Courtois picks himself in goal, with Azpi at right back and Emerson Palmieri on the left.

There’s then a decent selection at centre back, with Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger looking a decent balance of technique and pace.

Then in the middle, N’Golo Kante and Jorginho will be the heartbeat of the team, with maybe Tiemoue Bakayoko or RLC surging ahead of them.

The front three would currently probably be Olivier Giroud flanked by Eden Hazard and Willian.
