Peter Cech’s agent makes new and bold statement on potential move to Chelsea this summer

There were sensational reports that suggested Chelsea could be bringing back Petr Cech from Arsenal, only two years after the Czech Republican moved from Stamford Bridge to North London.

The reports began when rumors intensified that Chelsea were getting close to agreeing a deal with Real Madrid for the departure of Thibaut Courtois, with Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol insisting Cech was one of the main goalkeepers lined up to replace the Belgium international.

Cech was hugely successful at Chelsea and was one of their greatest goalkeepers in history, but a return to the  club has been killed off by his agent who insists ‘there is no clear offer’ for his client who is currently is focusing on the new season.

“It is always busy during every transfer window around Petr Cech, as a great Premier League person. However, he maximally focuses on the new season at Arsenal, no specific offer is available.”

Viktor Kolar, Bleacher Report

The report that Cech could move to Chelsea earned it self some credibility when Arsenal signed Leno from the German Bundesliga. Suddenly, being an automatic first choice is out of the window and with a vacant position at Chelsea this summer if Courtois leaves, Cech may be tempted.

Currently though, the Blues can look elsewhere as Cech’s agent rubbishes any summer exit.
