N’Golo Kante could have ended Sunday night without touching the World Cup had Steven N’Zonzi not stepped in

We have come to know Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante as one of the most shy footballers on the planet and despite his array of skills on the pitch, the man can barely ask for even the most simple things in life.

The central midfielder has been instrumental in winning the 2018 World Cup after helping France march into the final, and although he did not complete the last game, he was very much seen as the reason France won the whole thing.

While his French teammates celebrated the World Cup trophy win, Kante was right there in the mix, smiling and waving at the crowd when he could, but he was not about to ask to hold the trophy until Steven Nzonzi asked the French players to release the cup to their shy friend for a while.

The legend of Kante is not just about his heroics on the pitch but how he manages to help himself remain respected off it. Hopefully he comes back to Chelsea and helps the club win more titles in the coming seasons under Maurizio Sarri.
