Maurizio Sarri is in the air according to Italian sources

Now that Jorginho has been in London, signed his deal and had his medical, and Antonio Conte has finally had his marching orders from Chelsea, just one piece remains loose in the puzzle of this summer.

The arrival of Maurizio Sarri has looked inevitable for some time now, and according to Calrio Mercato, it’s now closer than ever.

They say that the Chelsea boss-elect took a private jet today from Milan to London to finalise his deal.

That could be done tonight, meaning tomorrow could see the big announcement from Chelsea of the double signing of the coach with his key man Jorginho.

It’s enough to make Chelsea fans smile after a chaotic month of inaction. From tomorrow (hopefully), the Conte era is over, and the Sarri era can begin. It may not be as successful, but hopefully it’s at least as entertaining – both on the field and off it.
