Lewis Baker has made his first appearance for Leeds United after joining on loan this summer.
The midfielder played in yesterday’s friendly with York City.
Preseason has only just begun, but Baker has clearly put himself in consideration for Marcelo Bielsa, the new boss at Elland Road.
Chelsea fans were gutted to see Baker’s gametime almost non-existent at Middlesbrough last season after he did well on loan at Vitesse previously.
This is a new start for Lewis, and there are plenty of people in West London keeping up with developments in West Yorkshire now.

His technical ability will hopefully come in handy for his new manager, whose distinctive style of football may play to the on-loan Chelsea man’s strengths.
A Championship season is long and gruelling. He will get his chance at some point. What would be even better is if he can seal a starting spot in these preseason games.
