Chelsea have spent a lot on paying out managers’ contracts under Roman Abramovich, but do you know exactly how much?
There have been 9 and counting, and none of them have reached the end of their contract peacefully.

All it does is make you wonder why the club are quibbling over a few million pounds this summer. They are battling Napoli over Maurizio Sarri’s move, and battling Conte over his own payoff.
That might make sense for a smaller team where every penny matters, but if we’ve spent £85m on hiring and firing managers, why are we suddenly plunging the club into madness over the course of the summer just to save a few more?
A clean break with Conte after the FA Cup final, and then stumping up for Sarri, would have meant the new man in charge for a month already, and the team looking in much better shape than they do now.
