Events conspiring to leave Chelsea and Juventus in negotiations for a mega swap deal

Reports in top Italy newspapers on Monday are suggesting Chelsea and Juventus will get involved in negotiations that will see two players move in opposite directions this summer.

Alvaro Morata is said to be keen to move from Stamford Bridge after a dreadful season in England via the Sun. His first year in the Premier League yielded only 11 goals in the league while grabbing two more in cup competitions. Under Antonio Conte, Morata struggled in the last six months of the campaign, despite an early show of promise following his signing from Real Madrid.

According to TuttoSport and Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy via CalcioMercato, Chelsea are seriously looking to sign Gonzalo Higuain when Maurizio Sarri is confirmed and with Morata also very interested in ending his Premier League agony, both clubs could be locked in a swap deal negotiations soon.

Higuain was part of the Argentina squad that failed to make the quarter final of the World Cup after getting beating by France in Russia. The striker failed to score a single goal for his country in the miserable campaign this summer.
