The BBC are reporting that Liverpool have offered £62m for Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
The Reds suffered goalkeeper chaos last season as Simon Mignolet battled the equally dodgy Loris Karius for the number one jersey. The German eventually won out, but then had a mare in the Champions League final that ultimately cost his team the game.
Kristof Terreur has already reported today that Chelsea are looking for a Thibaut Courtois replacement, so this news is significant.
Real Madrid are treating the Courtois – Hazard transfers as two seperate cases. Courtois to Real will be done for a fee around €40m, but deal can only be closed when Chelsea have found a new goalkeeper.

Getting into a bidding war with Liverpool is exactly what Roma want us to do, but we must avoid paying over the odds, especially if we’re only going to get €40m for Courtois as Terreur reports.
The Beeb report that Liverpool’s bid is €70m and we should be able to match that at least.
But how high are we willing to go? And if we can’t agree a reasonable fee, are we really willing to keep Courtois then watch him walk next summer?
