Chelsea’s quadruple Serie A raid going from fantasy to reality

Chelsea are about to unleash a monster raid on Serie A.

First up Daniele Rugani has apparently been a done deal for some time, we’re just waiting for the new boss to green light the deal.

Secondly, the boss himself, Maurizio Sarri, will arrive any day now – possibly today – to begin the shakeup.

He will bring with him Jorginho from Napoli according to plenty of Italian sources, making part three of the tertralogy.

The final piece will be Gonzalo Higuain, to solve the striker problem at Chelsea, at least in the short term.

This will give Sarri a defender, a midfielder and an attacker he wants, and ahead of some departures, make the squad look much stronger indeed despite a month of nothing on the transfer front.

The chances of all four coming off are small, but even getting a couple done will make Chelsea fans feel a lot more relaxed about their situation.
