Chelsea wonderkid prepares for humiliating move to average Italian team

Chelsea youngster Jeremie Boga is set to move to Serie A.

The Blues have made more of a habit of buying than selling to the Italian top flight in recent seasons, but this time it will be a Chelsea man heading out to the peninsula.

The news was confirmed today by Goal.com’s Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella.

The youngster has long been rated as one of the brightest talents in the Chelsea youth academy, so to see him leave without ever really getting a shot at the first team is a real shame.

He started the first game of last season against Burnley, but Gary Cahill’s red card after twenty minutes mean that the French winger was taken off soon after to be replaced by a defender.

That could end up being the sliding door moment, certainly for his time at Chelsea, but perhaps in his career overall.

The good news is that there is a buy back clause, meaning we can always come back for a second bite of the cherry.
