Chelsea are taking steps to prevent one of their star players from moving from the club this summer, and that includes N’Golo Kante who has attracted interest from several top clubs in the world.
The Frenchman is currently with the France national team, who have only just made it past Belgium into the final of the World Cup in Russia, and are due to face one of England and Croatia. His performances have been great and cannot be underestimated in the French side.
According to reports from France, particularly L’Equipe via Sky Sports Kante is wanted by Paris Saint Germain who are keen to add him to their setup this summer, but Chelsea are having none of it. Calciomercato also report after the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo to the Juventus squad, Kante would be an ideal signing to help boost the squad for the upcoming season.
But, as per Calciomercato, Chelsea are currently preparing a new contract for Kante who signed for the club in 2016 and has helped them win the Premier League title and a FA Cup trophy last season. If he signs the dotted lines at Cobham, that will represent a big statement by the club, with other senior players often linked with a move from the club.
This might the convincing they need to remain with the club for the years to come.
