Chelsea jump in three-club queue for Juventus star Miralem Pjanic as summer chase gets hotter

Chelsea are in line to sign one of Juventus’ top players this summer but face competition from two other top European clubs who would relish a battle.

The Blues are looking for another midfielder to join their ranks, after Maurizio Sarri confirmed he will like another ‘quality’ midfielder to join his current side, in order to set the Sarri-ball rolling. Despite bringing in Jorginho from Napoli and possessing Fabgreas, N’Golo Kante, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley and Tiemoue Bakayoko may not be enough quality for the Italian manager who wants a certain high pressure and attacking football to be witnessed in the coming season.

Gazzetta dello Sport, though Football Italia say, Chelsea have joined Barcelona and Manchester City in the hunt for Pjanic, although the Bosnian international is said to be excited at playing with Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus in the coming seasons, and will not want to move from the club this summer.

Juventus may listen to offers though, if the price is right, and Chelsea want to pounce if the opportunity arises.
