Fulham have pulled off one of the more remarkable transfer coups of the summer, beating Chelsea to the signature of Jean Michel Seri.
The French midfielder has joined the Whites today, as reported here by the BBC, for £25m.
As the Sun note in their report on the deal, Chelsea have been heavily linked with the former Nice man all the way back to last summer, and the fact that he’s chosen to join a newly promoted team is a real surprise.

Of course we don’t know the full story – perhaps Chelsea’s progress on the transfer was halted when they realised they could land Jorginho. Perhaps the players decided he wanted to go somewhere he was promised more minutes. Perhaps they offered more wages.
All that we know is that from the outside, it looks as though we’ve been gazumped by our little local rivals, and that’s a bit of a shocker for everyone – not leas the Fulham fans.
