Chelsea have sent out another bright young talent on loan.
This time it’s Charlie Colkett who is heading out to make his way, the BBC confirmed this afternoon.
The 21 year old has had a couple of short spells out on loan already – at Bristol Rovers and Swindon Town – and one season long one at Vitesse last year.
He was outshone in Arnhem by Mason Mount, who plays in a similar position and really limited Colkett’s ability to get in the team.
But hopefully a new start at Shrewsbury in League One will give Colkett the space and time to shine in his own right.
The Shrews almost made it to the Championship last summer, but lost in the playoff final.
They will hope that the injection of quality that Colkett gives them will be enough to get them over the line this time round.
