As if today wasn’t going to be busy enough, Chelsea fans have been given a whole handful of hints that it’s the day that there will be serious movement on their manager.
The big three of Italian transfer nonsense: Gianluca Di Marzio, Fabrizio Romano and even new boy on the block Alfredo Pedulla, have all given strong hints that Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea is almost done, and that today could be the day.

It’s poorly timed, with England playing their first final since 1990 today too. If you were wanting to bury bad news it would be a good choice, but isn’t finally making some progress after a month of paralysis actually good news?

Chelsea fans have been expecting Sarri for some time now. Some are excited, some less so. The really big difference in the last 24 hours is that the rumours are suddenly including Jorginho, a really exciting player in a position of need for the team.

If THOSE reports are accurate and we bury it on a day of national mourning/celebration in England, then we’ll know that the PR department at Stamford Bridge are truly out of their depth.
