Chelea may split double transfer in two, with only one Belgian allowed to leave

Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois have often had their futures tied together, given they are both being linked with exits to Real Madrid, and are both Belgian.

But their future could be separate if Chelsea decide to accept bids for one but not the other.

That’s according to Matt Law of the Telegraph, who claims that they’d listen to offers for the keeper, but not the little magician.

While most fans would like to keep both at the club, they would much rather lose the capable but replaceable Courtois. Losing him would be a blow that they can absorb – they might even be able to upgrade if they spend big on Alisson.

But Hazard is not replaceable. Once he’s gone, no amount of money will be able to buy him again.

Clearly the board understand that this is a perilous position, and that only keeping Hazard will keep this team at the top level.
