Chelsea will have to sign Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri before May 22 if they want to keep the current compensation demand the same, according to Sky Italia.
The Napoli manager has attracted interest from Chelsea this season after his heroic chase for the Scudetto title, which saw the Neapolitans implode under intense pressure in the final stretch of the campaign, ceding the title to Juventus who secured their seventh in a row.
The Blues are expected to find a replacement for Antonio Conte this summer, after reports saying the Italian could be sacked right after the FA Cup final this weekend with Manchester United at Wembley but what stands in the way is his staggering pay off, as per the Sun.
It appears even a win in the FA Cup will not save Conte who has led his side in a disappointing campaign, finishing outside the top four and failing to get to the latter stages of the Champions League.
Now Sky Italia via the Daily Express say, Chelsea have to act quickly to sign Sarri if they do not wish to increase the current £7million compensation in the tactician’s contract in Naples.
