Fresh reports reveal Manchester United make Willian key summer target

Chelsea forward Willian could be a Manchester United player at the start of next season, if Jose Mourinho managed to re-work the magic he did on Nemanja Matic last summer.

According to Rob Dawson of ESPN, the Portuguese manager has identified the Brazil hotshot as the main target to reduce in attacking headaches this season.

After signing Alexis Sanchez in January, it was reported that Mourinho will not sign anymore attackers ahead of next season as reported by Metro but the growing tension between him and Anthony Martial has led to increased rumors the former Chelsea manager will return to his former side to land Willian.

The Express reported in March that Chelsea will not entertain any sort of negotiation from Man United for their star winger, but Mourinho has not given up on him just yet.

Willian has scored six goals in 19 starts for Chelsea in the Premier League this season, while registering seven assists but it is not these numbers that attracts Mourinho.

It is the Brazilian’s work rate and ability to track back when playing on the wings that makes him an interesting target for Man United and Mourinho.
