Chelsea had been hoping Eden Hazard will be staying at the club beyond this summer and the forward has given them the one main condition that will ensure he remains at the club amid reported interest from top clubs in Europe.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have considered the Belgium international at different times in the last few seasons, with the former particularly still interested in signing him to join their ‘galacticos’.
However Hazard ‘remains happy’ at Chelsea and has kept faith with the club and kept his love for the fans intact as well. But after another horrendous season, the former Lille player has admitted he will explore his options if Chelsea don’t act fast in beefing up their squad.
He is currently among the best players in the Premier League and wants players of similar ilk around him. The 27-year old has thrown down the gauntlet to Chelsea, insisting he will not sign a new deal until he sees ‘good players’ arriving at the club.
“I’m waiting for new players next season. We’ll see. I want good players, because I want to win next season the Premier League.”
