Chelsea ready to cash in on another loan army member

It comes to this time every year when Chelsea not only have to decide who will stay in the squad next summer and who will be loaned, but also which loan players are ripe to be sold at the peak of their value.

This time a year ago it was Nathan Ake and Nat Chalobah who were on the way out of the club as Chelsea looked to cash in on some of their developing stars.

Both of those caused some annoyance among fans who wanted to see them in the squad, and we’ll certainly see some unhappiness with any sales this summer.

The first of the moves to be underway could be a permanent move for Jamal Blackman to Sheffield United, where he spent this season on loan.

Football League World claim the Blades are looking to tie up a £2.5m deal for the stopper who impressed for them in the Championship last season.
