Chelsea now chasing surprise Premier League rival manager to replace Antonio Conte

Chelsea are chasing after Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino after Sky Sports reveals the Blues are are considering replacing Antonio Conte with the impressive manager.

Last season’s Premier League champions are expected to be without a manager at some point in the summer, as Conte is on his way out of the side, after unimpressive results this season.

Pochettino has been in charge of Spurs since 2015 and has led them to an unprecedented three Champions League qualifications in a row, while competing with Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Sky Sports’ report says Conte is ‘expected to depart Stamford Bridge’ after the FA Cup final and despite reports from Italy, via Football Italia linking Chelsea with Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, the Blues are now considering Pochettino as another alternative.

He has worked with a tighter budget at Spurs and achieved impressive standings in the league, something that should appeal to the Blues’ hierarchy.
