With the news emerging in recent days that former Chelsea youngster and current Liverpool talent Rhian Brewster is being courted by foreign clubs, the Blues are casting worried glances at their own young stars.
Panzo has attracted attention from abroad and was apparently close to moving during the winter transfer window. One to keep an eye on over the summer… https://t.co/kbwS6nc7va

Jonathan Panzo is one of these youths who is apparently being watched by big teams abroad. A World Cup winner with England, he’s already seen Jadon Sancho from that international team move aboard to find success.
Increasing trend for some of the best players at English academies to avoid signing pro deals at 17 and wait to assess the full range of options, including abroad.
Brewster the third of England's U17 World Cup winners to do so, after Panzo (Chelsea) and Sancho (City). https://t.co/oXILCp7OmS

If Brewster goes too, Panzo could well see his future abroad before long. While it will be devastating for Chelsea to lose talented young players they’ve developed for free, it will only be payback for the Blues doing the same thing to other teams.
It could also have benefits: if we are more afraid of losing young players who want to play, maybe we will appoint a manager on the basis that they will play the youngsters enough to keep them happy?
