Gary Cahill makes honest assessment about his performance after Burnley win

Chelsea captain Gary Cahill has revealed how tough the year has been but is assured that he is not yet a finished article in the team and is willing to push harder for success after the 2-1 victory last night against Burnley.

The England international has been out of action for sometime now in the Premier league but came strong at Turf Moor on Thursday at the back of Chelsea’s setup.

The club captain played a crucial role in last night’s win. The West London outfit for the first time landed two wins in a row in the Premier League games since last December.

Cahill secured the best pass completion rate, and performed remarkably, with a complete charge at the back. The 32-year-old claims this is just the beginning, and he is yet to deliver more spectacular performances.

“I’m not putting pressure on myself know what I’m capable of over many years. It’s good to be out there, getting results and building up my match fitness. I’m pleased to get back in and it builds momentum for an important weekend

It’s been tough, clearly, but football is a roller coaster and it’s not always rosy. But my time here has been successful overall. I’m not finished, I keep working hard and I’ll be back to my levels soon.”
