Does Chelsea’s loan captain want a second chance at Stamford Bridge?

It’s a bit of a weird situation having a captain on loan. Marco Van Ginkel was reluctant to accept the role at PSV given he would only be there temporarily from Chelsea, but the fans took to him and he has now lead them to the title.

Chelsea may feel it’s time to give the Dutchman another shot. He only missed out the first time round because of injuries, and at 25 he still has plenty of time to develop into the top player he was always predicted to be.

The question is whether MVG would even want another shot. Why come back and battle to be a bit part player at Chelsea when you are a league winning captain in Holland? You have more glory and success there than on the bench at Stamford Bridge.

Given he has just two years left on his contract, this is likely to be a make or break summer for him. If he doesn’t fancy coming back to England, expect him to be sold soon while his value is peaking.
