Chelsea linked with stunning move for Manchester United star attacker next summer

Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on Manchester United winger Anthony Martial, after he dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

The France international is one of most promising players at his age after he signed from AS Monaco in 2015. Following his arrival of Jose Mourinho at the club, his chances at first team opportunities have been limited. The Portuguese manager prefers to have Jesse Lingard or Marcus Rashford on the wings instead of the French forward.

This has led to tensions increasing in the club’s dressing room according to multiple reports in England, but Daily Star now say Chelsea are among four England clubs interested in taking him up, after claims that he is set to reject a five-year deal to remain at Old Trafford.

With Chelsea falling back in the race to be champion of England and finding it increasingly difficult in landing top targets, perhaps signing the former Monaco forward will make more sense. His ability is also not in question although the small matter of ironing out consistency from him will be key for any manager that completes the deal for him.

He has made 131 appearances for Man United and scored 36 goals in the three years he’s been at the club.
