Premier League club want to secure Chelsea player permanently after an inspiring start in loan stint

Chelsea midfielder Kenedy, currently on loan at Newcastle United United has performed admirably in his short stint at the club to attract talk of a permanent deal.

The Evening Standard reports that Chelsea should brace themselves for a bid from Rafa Benitez’s side next summer, after the 22-year old’s displays at the St. James Park.

Kenedy scored twice in the Magpies’ 3-0 win over Southampton last weekend to cap off a stellar display for his side. After securing the deal from Chelsea to Newcastle, Kenedy has started six games in the Premier League, already more than he achieved at Stamford Bridge in his two and half years at the club.

Newcastle want to make the loan deal permanent, but Chelsea may be willing to stand up to the bid, after rejecting an initial clause the Toons proposed in discussions for the temporary deal last January.

Antonio Conte sparingly used Kenedy and those appearances came in cup competitions as cover for Marcos Alonso on the left wing back position. It will interesting to see what future the next Chelsea manager would see for Kenedy, if Conte is replaced next summer.
